Welcome to Miami!

The Raleigh is a boutique hotel in the heart of South Beach. If you love upscale Art Deco furnishings, oasis like ambiance and direct beach access, this is the place for you. We arrived at 10am, swimsuits in hand, ready to stash our luggage until check in. However, we lucked out — they had a room ready for us almost immediately. Nothing better than getting into your room early after a long trip!

AMBIANCE & AMENITIES +++++ Pool was fantastic. First off, the shape of the pool was unique and eye catching. The margaritas were tasty and the pool boys weren’t hard on the eyes either. If you wanted some shade, there were cabanas. If you wanted comfort, there were upholstered day beds (reserve ahead if you can.) And if you wanted to get in a little work out to burn off those margaritas, there was a small outdoor gym that overlooked the pool too. Direct access to the beach puts you just steps from the warm sand & ocean.

FOOD & BEVERAGE +++ Pool was upscale pool food. The restaurant’s pricing was on the high side, but par for the course with other Miami restaurants. Ambiance of the restaurant was romantic and quiet. There was a little coffee shop in the lobby. My friend and I grabbed a tall latte to go and our bill was $18 (for 2 lattes). That said, you might want to walk a little further down the street to a less expensive morning coffee.

ROOMS +++ The rooms looked like you walked onto the set of Mad Men. Fun decor, nice firm bed, but nothing fancy for a basic guestroom. The high price tag for the room is more for use of the pool and proximity than the room. So if you are just there on business and aren’t going to use the pool, I would maybe opt for a different hotel with nicer room amenities.

EVENT | WEDDING SPACE +++++ One of my favorites! The outdoor terrace space was incredibly beautiful at night. The playful pool deck by day turns into a romantic stage for sipping trendy Lychee Martinis by night. It is the kind of quiet ambiance you can just feel. You can rent this entire space out for a private event or wedding reception too. Total privacy in your own oasis, white soft seating, string lights and cabanas galore. Enough room for a formal sit down dinner or cocktail style reception (50-400 people.)

I was there for a swimsuit fashion show benefiting Susan G Komen for the cure. All lit up in pink with a silver glittering runway, it truly was a party under the stars.

Hotel Best for: Girls trip, upscale Bachelorette Party, Wedding Ceremony, Wedding Reception, Corporate Event, Fundraiser, quiet hideaway for 2
