Kimpton properties are known for their outstanding customer service and I love the fact that they are pet friendly.  The pet rates are low or complimentary during your stay.  If you join their Kimpton InTouch loyalty program there are lots of ways to save too.  Including free wifi and mini bar credits, etc.

The Hotel Wilshire is a boutique hotel located on Wilshire Blvd.  Downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Miracle Mile, West Hollywood & Rodeo Drive are all within reach. The hot spot at this hotel is the roof top terrace that looks out over LA and the Hollywood sign. There is a restaurant/bar, swimming pool as well as plenty of places to eat and lounge in the sunshine.

AMBIANCE | AMENITIES +++++ The chic lobby is complete with complimentary beach combers to take out and explore the city. Roof top terrace & pool were fantastic. The rooms were modern, tastefully styled and comfortable.  The hotel was filled with the quiet hustle and bustle of business lunches, vacationers and socialites sipping on their cocktails.  From the GM to the servers, the customer service was impeccable.  You could tell their goal was to make sure that each and every guest was beyond taken care of.  Need anything from a jogger’s pocket guide to the best running trails nearby to a flat iron; they will have it to your room complimentary, in minutes.

FOOD & BEVERAGE +++ The restaurant’s food pricing was normal ($13 for an entrée salad), but their drinks were expensive ($11 for a beer.)   My Wilshire salad was delicious for lunch but the burger I ordered was probably one of the most aggravating things to eat, especially after a long day of hot sunshine and exercise.  Very difficult  & messy to eat.  Guess that’s what I get when I order naughty food in the uber fit land of LA. 🙂 In room dining breakfast was very prompt and food was pretty standard for room service. Not worth the money, but worth the convenience of grabbing a bite in the comfort of your room while racing to get ready in the morning.

ROOMS +++++ I had the luxury of staying in their one and only Penthouse Suite.  The elevator opens up to a big  open air private terrace (last photo.) The soft seating, comfortable outdoor dining and day beds make it the perfect suite for entertaining.  The terrace opened up to the actual suite and the space was art deco deliciousness.  Living room, wet bar, large  shower & tub with separate bedroom and vanity.  You can host up to 44 people on the terrace so I would  defiantly recommend this suite for a bachelor(ette) or birthday party.  Business meetings would also be private and comfortable there too. The suite is the only room that is just a few steps away from the roof top terrace too–making it an easy home base for the pool loungers.

EVENT | WEDDING | MEETING SPACE++++ For a small business meeting they had conference rooms to rent on the 2nd floor and they do rent out the Penthouse for meetings as well.  There is little room for a wedding but lots of room for events surrounding weddings. Bridal showers, bachelorette parties, etc. Overall, there really is not much room for more than 40, but if you are looking for small event space, it is perfect.  Parking is extremely accessible.

All in all, I really loved staying at this hotel and would put it at the top of my list of places to stay when I am in LA.

Hotel Best for: Business Travel, Girls trip, upscale Bachelorette Party, Bachelor Party, quiet hideaway for 2
